Dhemaji Polytechnic is an AICTE approved college for Technical Education and
Government institution affiliated to State Council for Technical Education
(SCTE), Assam situated at Simen Chapori of district Dhemaji, 787061, Assam. It
was established at 2017. Currently, it provides quality education in three
branches of Engineering Departments namely Mechanical, Civil and Electrical. It
has the strength for 180 students (60 students in each branch) selected ev ery year
through PAT examination. Dhemaji Polytechnic has some very well qualified
faculties who continuously guide and work tediously so that each student can
excel in any field they step upon. Dr. Pranab Jyoti Lahkar is the first and the
present principal of this institute.
Dhemaji District is one of the districts situated in the remote corner of North East India on the north bank of river Brahmaputra. The boundaries of the district are the hilly ranges of Arunachal Pradesh to the North and the East, Lakhimpur district in the West and the river Brahmaputra in the South.
